Mental Health among Minorities: Why aren't we getting help?

People in every race struggle with mental health. No certain ethnicity is exempt from disorders like ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, and Bipolar Disorder. However, it is shown that, statistically, people of color, including non-white Hispanics, seek less help for mental disorders and are also less believed by doctors when acknowledging that they may have mental disorders. This type of under representation causes disparities in studies. Why minority populations are highly underrepresented is a burning question of mine that fuels this investigation.
