Building Skills for the Future
This term we were delighted to welcome colleagues from Lloyds Banking Group to school for a full-day experience with our Year 12 students. The event focused on developing essential employability skills, understanding personal values, and gaining insight into the recruitment process—giving students a taste of what it’s like to apply for a graduate-level role.
Students took part in a range of activities that encouraged them to reflect on their strengths, work as a team, and complete a realistic recruitment task. The day was designed to boost key skills such as communication, problem solving, teamwork, and resilience—skills proven to improve classroom learning, increase confidence, and lead to better outcomes in the workplace and beyond.
It was an inspiring, practical day that gave students a valuable glimpse into the world of work and left them better prepared for their next steps.
