This half term at OSA CCF we have welcomed new Year 8 cadets. They have participated in our leadership tasks and drill preparations for Remembrance Day.
Also, Year 7s were invited to our 'Junior Cadet' section at CCF. Together, cadets separated into two flights and they were tasked with an engineering build. Cadets were briefed to construct a trailer with specific criteria. Each team had to go through a design phase to consider the creative aspects of their trailer. Working in their teams, they had to construct the trailer as close to their design as possible. When time was up, both teams had to explain and justify their designs.
Both flights delivered the premise of their designs clearly and it was a very close overall. However, the winner was the team who displayed a little more innovation in their two-wheel design which impressed our judges!
We are proud to announce that we have promoted cadets this half term. Two cadets have been made Lance Corporal for their constant drive to support our cadets. They have been proactive in guiding our new cadets. They have demonstrated thoughtfulness to any issues cadets have had and frequently volunteer to support activities. In addtion, we have awarded Sergeant to our dedicated Year 13 cadet for his hard work and dedication. Also, he is a fantastic role model for our cadets at CCF, he very much deserves the recognition in every respect! Well done to all of them
Currently, our cadets are preparing for and looking forward to the Hatfield Remembrance Parade on Sunday 10th November.
