We recently had the privilege of hosting a special event for our sixth form students in collaboration with Anglia Ruskin University, aimed at providing an insight into careers in law. This engaging session allowed students to explore the diverse field of law and its potential impact on their future careers.
The event kicked off with lively introductions and a stimulating debate, encouraging students to discuss current issues that are relevant to them. This interactive session helped students develop their critical thinking skills and apply real-world issues to the legal context.
Students were then invited to think of themselves as future lawyers, exploring the various branches of law and how they intersect with daily life. The session particularly focused on criminal law, with a detailed discussion on the legal elements of theft.
With no prior legal knowledge required, the students were able to dive into key legal concepts, many of which they recognised from their experiences as citizens. This hands-on experience provided a valuable opportunity to explore law as a career option while gaining insights into the role of a lawyer.
We would like to thank Anglia Ruskin University for their collaboration and support in inspiring our students to consider careers in law. Events like these are crucial in helping our students make informed decisions about their futures, and we look forward to more opportunities to partner with universities in the future.
If you would like more information about careers events or how to support your child’s career planning, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your ongoing support.
