On Friday 28th January, Herts Young Homeless came in to speak to our Year 13 students about finances. The talk covered topics such as student finance for university, what type of insurances they would need to protect their laptop whilst at University and whether they needed a TV license or not. It finished with a game where students needed to work out how much they would spend on every day bills and groceries. The talk really got them thinking, and many students were shocked at how little insurance cost but how expensive Council Tax and groceries were - we think our students will be feeding on good old beans on toast when they move up to Uni!
