On Thursday 14th November, we were delighted to welcome Theatre Pie into Onslow St Audrey’s School for an inspiring and interactive session with our Year 9 students.
The presentation was designed to encourage students to start thinking about their future options and career pathways in an engaging and thought-provoking way. Through dynamic storytelling and interactive activities, the theatre company helped students understand the importance of making informed decisions about their next steps and the opportunities available to them.
The session highlighted key themes such as:
Exploring different career routes and pathways.
Understanding how decisions made now can shape future opportunities.
Encouraging students to reflect on their interests, skills, and ambitions.
Students responded enthusiastically to the lively and relatable format of the presentation, which sparked meaningful conversations about their aspirations and potential career choices. Teachers noted how the session resonated with students and provided an excellent starting point for future discussions around career planning.
One student commented: “The session made me realise that I have so many options for my future, and it’s exciting to start thinking about them now!”
We would like to thank Theatre Pie for delivering such a memorable and impactful session and the University of Hertfordshire for funding this initiative. It has set the stage for our Year 9 students to approach their future with curiosity, excitement, and confidence.
