Over 100 Students Participate in the 2025 “Clean Up Hatfield” Campaign.
The Largest Effort to Date.
Hatfield, 22nd - 26th September - This year, over 100 students from Onslow St Audrey’s dedicated their time to join the Clean Up Hatfield Campaign, making it the most significant and successful event since the initiative launched three years ago.
Equipped with litter pickers, gloves, and an unwavering sense of community spirit, the students ventured into the local area to address litter and create a noticeable impact. Throughout the day, they were met with enthusiastic support from the public, as many passers-by stopped to express their gratitude and commend the students’ dedication to keeping Hatfield clean.
According to Mr. Millar, “This campaign is about more than just litter picking. It’s about pride in our community, teamwork, and demonstrating that young people can be powerful role models. Witnessing over 100 students participating this year — our largest turnout ever — is truly inspiring.”
The campaign also received invaluable support from a dedicated staff team, whose efforts were essential to the day’s success. Special thanks are extended to Mr. Davey, Mr. Hlambelo, Ms. Ring, Ms. Ranner, Ms. Cox, Mr. Ledster, Mr. Adams, Ms. Louw, and Ms. Fernandes, along with our incredible reception team — Ms. Hurley, Ms. Fitzgerald, Ms. Simpson, and Ms. Burfield — who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to contact parents and help organize the event.
Now in its third year, the Clean Up Hatfield Campaign continues to gain momentum, with this year's success highlighting the commitment of both students and the remarkable support from staff and the wider community.
“We are immensely proud of everyone involved. This year’s campaign has set a new benchmark, and we look forward to building on this momentum to make 2026 even bigger and better,” expressed Mr. S. Millar, Head of Year 11.
