Objective:
To provide a process for reviewing and distributing flyers from civic groups and nonprofit organizations while ensuring relevance to Old Saybrook students and families.
Internal and External Stakeholders:
Internal: Superintendent’s Executive Assistant, Public Relations Director, Principals
External: Local Civic Groups, Non-Profit Organizations, Families
Step-by-Step Operations Procedure:
Non-profit representative completes the Application for Distribution of Program Materials.
Materials are submitted to the Superintendent’s Executive Assistant at Central Office.
Materials are reviewed to ensure alignment with district values and benefit to students.
Distribution plan is determined based on participation scope (see communications procedure).
Step-by-Step Communications Procedure:
In-District, 100% Old Saybrook Participation Nonprofits:
Flyers/posters are emailed to families as requested, posted in schools, and made available by request.
Out-of-District or Multi-Municipality Nonprofits:
Flyers/posters are posted in schools only and made available upon student/parent request.
Communication is sent to the requestor confirming approval, distribution plan, or denial.
