Step-by-Step Operations Procedure:

1. Staff identifies student achievement (e.g., award, competition win, academic honor).

2. Staff submits recognition details (student name, achievement, photo, etc.) to the building principal.

3. Principal reviews and forwards the information to the Program Manager of Communications & Strategic Initiatives.

4. Superintendent is notified for high-profile achievements.

5. Consent forms are verified for any student photos or names.

Step-by-Step Communications Procedure:

1. Program Manager of Communications & Strategic Initiatives drafts a positive news post or press release.

2. Post is shared via social media, district website, and/or newsletters.

3. If appropriate, news is sent to local media outlets.

4. Families of recognized students receive a copy/link to the published content.

5. Highlights are archived for use in year-end celebration summaries.
