What Does Samantha Know?
Samantha knows a lot about the human body which is why she is very passionate about sharing her extensive knowledge with her students so they know how to live a healthy life. She also knows how to play a lot of sports, such as softball, basketball, cheerleading, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball. Since she has such extensive experience playing sports she knows that she is meant to be a coach, as well as teach her students how to play sports to hopefully spark their interest in playing on a team of their own one day. She knows how to perform CPR because she is certified in first aid by the American Red Cross. Samantha knows more than just the human body and sports, she also knows how to read music and play the clarinet and saxophone.

What does Samantha have to learn?
Samantha is still learning how to effectively teach all children, with and without disabilities. She is learning to be more mindful of the times we are in as a society. She is continuously researching how to get today's youth involved and participating in physical education all the time, as well as how to provide the most inclusive environment for all students. One of the most important things Samantha always says is that you can never stop learning and she takes this very personally because she is always craving new information. By being open to learning about anything we are opening ourselves up to many new adventures and opportunities and that is the most exciting part of life in Samantha's opinion.
The Teacher I Will Become!
School is such a foundational period of time in our lives because it is where we begin to discover who we are, what we want to do, and who our friends are. School is also academic and it just so happens that school comes naturally to some more than others and that is okay, but also means we have to be able to teach our students about their strengths and weakness. In physical education there are a lot of things to physically learn but I also aim to teach my students how to be caring, good sports, respectful, and how to have integrity. To the left here you will see my bitmoji persevering by pushing a large and heavy rock up a mountain which pretty much represents me getting through school. From personal experiences I know how difficult and overwhelming school can be which as I become an educator makes me empathize with my students and gives me the opportunity to relate to them and their experiences. I want to become that teacher who is flexible, caring, understanding, and the one all the students know they can come to in absolute confidence. I believe I will be a progressivist teacher because I am most concerned on the whole child aspect of school. Making sure the student is safe, comfortable, and has all the physical and mental tools they need to be the best student they can be.

Hi Samantha, I really like your page. I play the viola for about 10. years. I definitely agree that there is no end to learning. Plus teaching kids about their strength and weaknesses is a great way for them to learn what they are good at and what they are not. You will become a great teacher. - Maria Brown
Hi Samantha I loved how you laid out your page and all your information. I am the complete opposite of you when it comes to being the youngest I am the oldest of 4. I like what you said about learning how to teach students with and without disabilities. I too need to learn how to do that. My youngest sibling has dyslexia and I have learned through her education that every person learns differently and I want to know how to help them do that! -Hannah Scarbrough
