Theme 3: International Festival
課程目標 Lesson objective:
1. 學生能熟悉感恩節的故事,並以故事圖卡講述感恩節的由來。
2. 以影片故事、心智圖與故事圖片,引導學生熟悉並運用課程相關字彙。
3. 分組完成感恩節故事海報與進行口語評量。
課程任務 Lesson Assignment:
1st period: TPR to introduce some Western holidays. TPR/song guessing game. Thanksgiving vocabulary. Q and A (Mind Map about Thanksgiving). Video showing the story stopping to explain keyword.. Storyboard with flashcards. Introducing the next class activity.
2nd period: Keywords on the board. Guess the keyword. Storyboard review (TPR and flashcards). Group work. Two teams need to sequence the story. Competition after practice.
3rd period: Review storyboard. introduce handout and how to complete for assessment. Two teams working together sequence and fill-in key words.
Vocabulary: Thanksgiving, feast, dinner, pilgrims, mayflower, thankful, turkey, family reunion, parade, Native Americans(Indians), England, America, sick and died, cold and tough, farmer, hunter, sequence, grow
Assessment: Teams complete Thanksgiving storytelling.
