Theme 4: Career Plan
課程目標 Lesson objective:
1. 以字卡與影片增強主題先備基礎,並進行問題討論來建立主題課程概念。
2. 學生分小組以層層疊體驗建築結構操作。
3. 學生分小組進行建築設計、建造與測量氣球塔,完成後進行口語報告。
課程任務 Lesson Assignment:
1st period: Ss will be introduced to the career of an architect. What does an architect do? What is the salary? Ss will learn some keywords about the job. They will look at various buildings, but focus on small vs large. We will start our comparison on a Mongolian ger vs a Skyscraper. How and why are the materials different?
2nd period: Review the vocabulary and sentences from last class. Discuss the two types of buildings (ger and skyscraper) but Ss will primarily focus on the skyscraper. Ss will be able to practice building a skyscraper with JENGA building blocks. See who can build the tallest skyscraper.
3rd period: Students in groups assign work, design, build and measure their skyscrapers. Finally, students show to the teacher about their building with the target sentence.
