Earning College Credit in High School

LHS students may earn college credit while in high school through the following methods:

1) Take Advanced Placement (AP) classes at LHS. Students in AP classes are required to take the AP exam in May; students who score well on the exam may be granted college credit. Students may also take AP classes through Virtual High School; see your school counselor for details.

2) Enroll in a Career Tech program. Career Tech programs have negotiated agreements with many colleges for our graduates to receive college credits or advanced placement. (See the Career Technical Section of this guide for more information.)

3) Enroll in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program
