CoTC Math 150 – Pre-Calculus

COTC MATH 150 – Pre-Calculus – 1 credit

· Full Year - Select – Grade 9, 10, 11, 12 Must complete required College Credit Plus Paperwork and be accepted to COTC. 5.0 GPA grading scale.

Pre-Calculus focuses on problem solving and exploration while building a deeper understanding of algebraic techniques. Major areas of study include exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, polynomial, and rational functions. Topics in statistics, discrete mathematics, polar coordinates, parametric equations, conics, sequences and series,vectors, and limits may also be explored. In addition, students may be expected to complete individual projects and cover topics in more depth. A calculator will be provided for in-class use only. This course is 4 semester hours of college credit through COTC.
