Students enrolling in this course must meet established Honors Eligibility Criteria. Government is the study of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the Ohio Constitution, the rights and responsibilities of citizens, the government of the United States, the political system at work, the government of the State of Ohio, local government in Ohio, comparative government and foreign affairs. Students taking this course will be expected to read independently and will be exposed to more depth of content and rigor. This course will also cover selected financial literacy and economics standards. Students will have the option to take the AP Government exam. However, the AP exam is not required (all students will take the End of Course Assessment).
