Women's Lifetime Fitness

866 – Women’s Lifetime Fitness – 0.25 credit

· Semester – Grade 10, 11, 12

Female students will be involved in various fitness activities throughout the course, participating in yoga, pilates, hip hop, and other lifetime fitness activities. Students will also have the opportunity to lift weights learning proper form and learning about different types of workouts based on fitness goals. Learning proper nutrition to help improve fitness levels will also play an important role in this class. Goal setting and writing workouts to achieve goals are a key component of the course. This class will assist students in becoming more physically fit, providing students a guide for being fit for a lifetime. The course will be open only to females and will focus more on the five components of fitness rather than a heavier focus on strength training.
