Pre-Calculus Honors

341 – Pre-Calculus Honors – 1 credit

• Selected – Required: Honors Algebra II or Algebra II CP with an “A”

• Full Year - Grades 10, 11 - 4.5 GPA grading scale

Pre-Calculus focuses on problem solving and exploration while building a deeper understanding of algebraic techniques. Major areas of study include exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, polynomial, and rational functions. Topics in statistics, discrete mathematics, polar coordinates, parametric equations, conics, sequences and series,vectors, and limits may also be explored. In addition, students may be expected to complete individual projects and cover topics in more depth. A calculator will be provided for in-class use only.
