Junior Career Exploration (JCE) is a course designed to provide students the opportunity to study careers and post-secondary options. One period per day is spent in the JCE classroom, where students have the opportunity to study areas in careers that impact them due to employment and/or future employment. Classroom work will involve the study of careers and career employment that will help prepare students for career and post-secondary opportunities. Throughout the course students will develop financial literacy skills to provide a basis for responsible citizenship and career success.

In the afternoon students would be permitted to leave the building for chosen occupation or some related work, or volunteer experience. The student’s employment must be improved by the JCE Coordinator.
