178000 Core and Sustainable Construction - 1.5 credits

This course is the first course and is designed for students in all pathways in the Construction

Academy career field. The course content includes: basic safety (10‐hr OSHA),

introduction to construction math, introduction to hand tools, introduction to

power tools, introduction to blueprints, material handling, basic communication

skills, and basic employability skills, the green environment, green construction

practices, and green building rating systems.
