Government Advanced Placement is a select course that focuses on giving students a college-level examination of the governmental system in the United States. The course is structured to give students a fundamental understanding of the democratic system created by the United States Constitution in order to prepare students to analyze how the internal participants (congress, President, bureaucracy, and the courts) and the external participants (citizens, lobbyists, political parties, and the media) interact to solve political questions through the creation of public policy. Students must take the Government & Politics: United States AP examination upon completion of this course.
