Maintenance Light Repair Course - Students will learn and practice the tasks of general vehicle maintenance. Students will also learn to determine labor rates, and understand cooling system theory, tire service, transmission flush, oil change services. Covering tool identification, safety in a shop, work related issues and employer expectations.

This includes researching the applicable vehicle, performing routine maintenance as it applies to the engine, drive train, suspension and steering, electrical, and braking systems.

Students will have the opportunity to take the student certification test for Maintenance Light Repair towards the end of their junior year.


Engine and Power Train - This course teaches students to diagnose, adjust and repair internal combustion engines and drive trains, including basic design, construction and overhaul procedures. Students will learn precision measurement, inspection, and reconditioning techniques for internal combustion engines. Students will also learn to determine labor rates, and understand cooling system theory, tire service, transmission flush, oil change services.

Students will have the opportunity to take the student certification test for Engine Repair towards the end of their junior year.
