***What Does Exodus 31:17 TRULY mean?
Here is Exodus 31:17 from the KJV. “It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.”
Does Exodus 31:17 PROVE that God CREATED the heavens and the earth is SIX LITERAL 24 hour DAYS as the Young Earth Creationist Christians dogmatically demand?
In other words, does this verse of Scripture prove that the Bible ITSELF teaches us that the entire universe was created in exactly 144 HOURS and not one minute longer?
For you see, that is how YEC Christians INTERPRET Genesis 1:1-31 to mean.
And they use Exodus 20:11 and Exodus 31:17 to TRY to prove that God created the entire universe around 6,000 years ago in exactly 144 hours and not one minute longer.
However, the Bible ITSELF teaches us that God RESTORED the earth around 6,000 years ago.
In other words, the only thing that God CREATED 6,000 years ago was the first HUMAN, which He made a little LOWER than the Elohim, according to Psalm 8:5.
And the REASON for WHY God man and the Son of MAN was BECAUSE of His ENEMIES.
Thus, one third of the angels rebelled and waged a WAR against the other side of heaven BEFORE the SIXTH day, according to what the Bible ITSELF teaches us.
Therefore, if the YEC Christians are correct in their INTERPRETATION of the Scriptures, then that means that one third of the entire creation of angels rebelled against their Creator in LESS than 144 HOURS after being created.
And that forces God to look like a not so good Creator as opposed to a very GOOD Creator in Genesis 1:31.
So, to me, the YEC Christians ERROR in their understanding of the Scriptures!
And the Old Earth Creation Christians have the CORRECT understanding of Genesis 1:3-31 as God RESTORING the earth over 6,000 years or in six 1000 year-long DAYS.

The Bible Teaches a PREVIOUS AGE of the Earth!
Christians ought to believe the WHOLE word of Almighty God and NOT man-made doctrines that only use PART of the Scriptures.
Now, the Young Earth Creationist Christians SAY that they believe the whole Bible, but does their teaching about God creating the entire universe in six 24 hour days some 6,000 years ago AGREE with every other verse of Scripture in the Bible and NOT CONTRADICT any other verse in God’s word?
Here is a quote from a Young Earth Creationist website.
“When discussing the age of the earth, Christians must be ready to explain the importance of starting points.

That’s why, when discussing the age of the earth, Christians must be ready to explain the importance of starting points and assumptions.
Reaching the correct conclusions requires the right starting point.
The Bible is that starting point. This is the revealed Word of the almighty, faithful, and true Creator, who was present to observe all events of earth history and who gave mankind an infallible record of key events in the past.
The Bible, God’s revelation to us, gives us the foundation that enables us to begin to build the right worldview to correctly understand how the present and past are connected.”
And I absolutely agree, the Bible ITSELF must be the starting point and also the ending point for CORRECTLY understanding the AGE of the earth and also the AGE of MANKIND, the human race of beings.
For you see, the YEC Christians first ERROR is their dogmatic claim that the earth, the universe and MAN were all created at the same time in just six 24 hour days.
But yet, the Bible itself clearly teaches that the angels already existed BEFORE God created MAN.
Therefore, ONLY MAN is 6,000 years old and the rest of the universe is much older.
Now, the main argument from the Bible that is used by the YEC Christians to TRY and prove that the entire universe was created around 6,000 years ago is their own PERSONAL “interpretation” of the phrase “the evening and the morning”
The YEC Christians main argument is that Genesis 1:1-31 must, without fail, mean six LITERAL 24 HOUR days.
But that is NOT what the Bible ITSELF teaches as the ONLY possible meaning of the Hebrew word translated as DAY.
Here is how the concordance in E-Sword defines the Hebrew word “yôm”, which is “translated” as day in Genesis chapter 1. I have emphasized some of the other meanings.

Total KJV occurrences: 2295.
And the Bible itself uses the word DAY to mean 12 hours in a day, a day to mean a full year, a day to be as a full 1000 years, and day to simply mean an unspecified span of TIME in the past or in the future, such as in the DAY of Noah and the Lord’s DAY.
For example, the Apostle Peters WARNS us to NOT be IGNORANT concerning the DAY of the Lord as being 1000 years of TIME.
2 Peter 3:8.
“But, beloved, be NOT IGNORANT of this one thing, that ONE DAY is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as ONE DAY.”
Where did Peter get that understanding? Was it from the Old Testament Scriptures?
Notice that the TIME in Psalm 90:2-5 is BEFORE the mountains were brought forth or ever God had FORMED the earth and the world.
So then, clearly the 1000 year-long DAY is directly CONNECTED to the earth and the WORLD being FORMED.
Psalm 90:2-5.
“BEFORE the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
Psalm 90:3. You turn man to destruction; and say, Return, you children of men. (Notice that two DIFFERENT Hebrew words are used for “man” to be destroyed and the children of men to REFRESH.
I believe this is to show two different species of beings, the ANCIENT people that enlisted BEFORE God created Adam, the first father of the children of HUMAN men.
In other words, the ancient people before the human race was created just 6,000 years ago were NOT human beings.
But rather, they were “humanoid” or LIKE human having some similarities)
Psalm 90:4. FOR (Or BECAUSE) a thousand years in Your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. (And each of the four watches at night is 3 hours long.
For you see, Jesus came walking on the water in the FOURTH watch in the NIGHT and there are 12 hours in the night)
Psalm 90:5. You carry them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which grows up.”
In other words, many ancient people that Satan corrupted to become wicked died in the FLOOD before God created Adam and Eve.
But Satan kept on corrupting more ancient people as fast as grass grows and needs to be cut down.
Now, the YEC Christians argue that the FLOOD in the DAY of Noah caused the mountains to be FORMED by that catastrophic flood.
They go into great detail explaining the geological bends in the rock layers and how the only way for that to happen is a catastrophic FLOOD.
And since the REJECT the TWO FLOODS recorded in the Bible, they wrongly concluded that there were no mountains BEFORE the flood of Noah
But yet the Bible ITSELF teaches us that the mountains existed BEFORE the mountains SETTLED or before the mountains SANK or drowned under the fountains of waters.
Proverbs 8:24-26.
“When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains ABOUNDING with water.
Proverbs 8:25. BEFORE the mountains were SETTLED, before the hills was I brought forth: (The Hebrew word also means SANK and drown under the FLOOD of abounding water.
And this TIME BEFORE before the mountains that already existed SETTLED was before God BRUISED the earth)
Proverbs 8:26. While as yet He had NOT MADE the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.”
The reason that I use the meaning of BRUISED the earth instead of the meaning of MADE the earth is because the mountains ALREADY existed in order for the mountains to settle.
So, it makes no logical sense to translate the Hebrew word as while YET God had NOT MADE the earth, the mountains SETTLED.
For you see, since the mountains already existed WHILE God had NOT YET MADE the earth, then the MEANING of the Hebrew word “‛âśâh” cannot possible mean CREATED the earth for the FIRST time having never excised before Genesis 1:3-31 when God created MAN for the FIRST time..
Therefore, it is more correct to use a different MEANING of the Hebrew word that is incorrectly translated as made in this verse.
And another meaning of the Hebrew word “‛âśâh” means God BRUISED the earth and the highest inhabitants of the WORLD, speaking of the fallen angels that were oppressing the people during a PREVIOUS AGE of the earth.
So, to me, a more correct translation of Proverbs 8:26 would be as follows. Keep in mind that the mountains ALREADY EXISTED in verse 25 BEFORE the mountains SETTLED while as YET God had not “ASAH” the earth.
A more correct translation of Proverbs 8:26.
“While as yet He had NOT BRUISED the earth, nor the fields, nor as yet had God bruised part of the CHIEFS to dust or to ashes in the world.”
We will cover this other meaning of the Hebrew word “‛âśâh” found in several other passages of Scripture describing the same period of time in Genesis 1:3-31 a moment.
But first, let us look at a few more passages of Scripture that DEFINE a DAY as being equated to a YEAR, so that you can see that a LITERAL WEEK of 24 hour DAYS is LIKENED to being seven YEARS of TIME.
Numbers 14:34.
“After the number of the days in which you searched the land, even forty days, each DAY for a YEAR, shall you bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you shall know my breach of promise.
Ezekiel 4:6.
“And when you have accomplished them, lie again on your right side, and you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed you each DAY for a YEAR.
Now, if God APPOINTED a DAY to represent a full YEAR, that a DAY can also be UNDERSTOOD and being a full one THOUSAND YEARS.
Genesis 29:20.
“And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.
Genesis 29:21. And Jacob said unto Laban, Give me my wife, for my days are fulfilled, that I may go in unto her.
Genesis 29:22. And Laban gathered together all the men of the place, and made a feast.
Genesis 29:23. And it came to pass in the evening, that he took Leah his daughter, and brought her to him; and he went in unto her.
Genesis 29:24. And Laban gave unto his daughter Leah Zilpah his maid for an handmaid.
Genesis 29:25. And it came to pass, that in the morning, behold, it was Leah: and he said to Laban, What is this you have done unto me? Did not I serve with you for Rachel? Wherefore then have you beguiled me?
Genesis 29:26. And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
Genesis 29:27. Fulfill her WEEK, and we will give you this also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven other YEARS.
Genesis 29:28 And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her WEEK: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
Genesis 29:29. And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.
Genesis 29:30. And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet SEVEN other YEARS.
Therefore, the SIX DAYS that God MADE or BRUISED and then FIXED or RESTORED the heavens and the earth could very well mean SIX segments of TIME that were 1000 year-long DAYS.
Now, the YEC Christians argue that God would not use two different meanings of a word in the SAME verse of Scripture.
First of all, there were no chapters and verses in the original text of the Bible. Thus, that is not a valid argument.
Secondly, God does indeed use TWO DIFFERENT meanings of the SAME verse in Genesis 1:5.
Genesis 1:5
“And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
And Jesus said, are there not 12 hours in a DAY? And the second use of the word day can mean 1000 years seeing that a day with Yahweh is as a THOUSAND YEARS.
In other words, the word day does NOT dogmatically have to be six literal 24 hour days just because of the words “evening and the morning”,
For the true sound Biblical God intended meaning of the phrase “the evening and the morning”, please read the study called Genesis 2:1-3 The TRUE Sound Biblical Meaning of the SEVENTH Day!
So then, while the weekly Sabbath under the Law of Moses is the seventh LITERAL 24 hour day of the week, that does NOT prove that God CREATED the heavens and the earth in SIX LITERAL 24 hour days as the YEC Christians dogmatically demand as being the only possible meaning.
For you see, the word “in” was ADDED by the translators and the original text literally means FOR six “YOM” God “ASAH” the earth.
Therefore, we must be OPEN to the OTHER meanings of BOTH of these Hebrew words.
And the Hebrew word “asah” that is TRANSLATED as MADE also means to BRUISE.
And there are many passages of Scripture referring to the foundation of the earth and the foundation of the world that can be understood as Almighty God CUTTING DOWN the heavens and BRUISING or POUNDING the earth in His wrath.
In other words, the Bible ITSELF teaches us about a WAR between the angels during a PREVIOUS AGE of the earth, according to Job 8:8, Deuteronomy 4:32, and Job 12:12-22.
Plus, there are other verses in the Bible, such as Ecclesiastes 1:9-11, that teach us what has already happened BEFORE, is NOW, and will also happen AGAIN.
In other words, God BRUISED the head of the dragon during a former age of the earth and after the age yet to come, God will utterly destroy the dragon to be ashes in the lake of fire.
So then, the Bible ITSELF teaches us that Yahweh OVERTHREW that rebellion in His wrath, and He CUT DOWN the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1.
And the earth BECAME without form and void in Genesis 1:2.
Or God CREATED the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1 billions of years ago.
Then around 12,000 years to 15,000 years ago, God CUT DOWN the heavens and the earth to bring a peace between the angels, and the earth BECAME without form and void during that WAR and wrath of God to make peace.
And then, God took six 1000 year long days to RESTORE or FIX the earth to be habitable once again.
And on the sixth day God created the first MAN and gave a PROPHECY of the second Adam BECAUSE of His ENEMIES, according to Psalm 8:1-6.

Again, God FIXED the earth during a period of SIX 1000 year-long DAYS, and at the end of the sixth day, Yahweh created the first man Adam.
Here are some of the many passages of Scripture that clearly show that the FOUNDATION of the earth does NOT mean the ORIGINAL CREATION of the earth billions of years ago or just 6,000 years ago as YEC Christians dogmatically demand.

Q-5. What Does the FOUNDATION of the WORLD TRULY Mean?
But for now, let us continue looking at some more verses showing a war BETWEEN the angels at the time of God FOUNDING the earth.
Isaiah 37:16.
“O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwells BETWEEN the cherubims, You are the God, even You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: You have made (Or more correctly understood, You have BRUISED) heaven and earth.”
Have you ever wondered WHY God gave such specific instructions to build the Ark of the Covenant?
Notice that the mercy seat is BETWEEN the TWO Cherubim with their wings outstretched toward each other.
To me, this SYMBOLIZES God being BETWEEN the two sides of Heaven that are at WAR against each other, according to Deuteronomy 4:32
And the purpose of the MERCY seat is for making PEACE and ending WAR for all eternity in the future after the final DAY of Judgment at the end of the AGE yet to come, the 1000 year-long DAY of the reign of PEACE.
Isaiah 45:7.
“I FORM the LIGHT, and create darkness: (Or more correctly translated, Yahweh CUT DOWN the darkness) I make PEACE, and create evil: (Or more correctly translated, Yahweh CUT DOWN the evil) I the LORD do all these things.
Isaiah 45:8. Drop down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.
Isaiah 45:18.
“For thus says the LORD that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He has established it, (Or He has FIXED it, speaking of bringing order to the heavens, repairing the earth and making peace to sit down and settle the war in heaven) He created it NOT in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”
Or a more correct understanding, I am Yahweh and there will be no more iteration or no more continuation of WAR in the universe.
Psalm 104:26-35.
“There go the ships: (Or there go the flying craft to hide under the seas) THERE (Speaking of in the seas) is that LEVIATHAN, (This is another name for that insolent Dragon called Satan and the Devil that God CUT DOWN in Genesis 1:21 when it is correctly translated) whom You have made to play therein. (Or You have made him a mockery therein, or he is mocking You therein.
Either way, God LAUGHS at the raging of the heathen, according to Psalm 2:4
As you read the prophecies in the Old Testament, always keep in mind that what has already happened during a previous age of the earth is happen now and will happen again, according to Ecclesisastes 1:9,10 and Ecclesisastes 3:15,16)
Psalm 104:27. These wait all upon You; that You may give them their meat in due season. (Speaking of their torment and destruction in the lake of fire on the final Day of Judgment.
But also speaking of those who died in the previous age of the earth that were oppressed by Satan and the fallen angels)
Psalm 104:28. That You give them they gather: (Or You give them that are gathered) You open Your hand, they are filled with good. (Or they are satisfied, perhaps satisfied by seeing their enemy destroyed in the lake of fire.
The fact is, the context does not say who they are, So, it could be the good people during the Old Testament, who were not the chosen people of God.
But the context seems to be referring to the previous inhabitants of the earth before God created Adam.
Again, being satisfied does not necessarily mean they are given eternal life)
Psalm 104:29. You hide Your face, they are troubled: You take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. (Again, their dust versus our dust seems to be referring to the ancient people before God created Adam and Eve.
Keep in mind Psalm 8:1-6 as you read the Old Testament.
For you see, the very REASON that God made man and the Son of man was BECAUSE of His ENEMIES)
Psalm 104:30. You send forth Your Spirit, they are created: and You RENEW the face of the earth. (Again, what has already happened will happen again)
Psalm 104:31. The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in His works.
Psalm 104:32. He looks on the earth, and it TREMBLES: He touches the hills, and they smoke. (The Bible teaches us that God SHOOK the earth in the past, according to Revelation 16:18.
And He SHALL shake not ONLY the earth, but ALSO shake heaven in the near future at the coming of Jesus, according to Hebrews 12:26
The CONTEXT of this verse in Psalm 104:4-7 clearly teaches us that there was a FLOOD that covered the mountains and the TIME of the FOUNDATION of the earth.
And I believe that was WHEN God PREPARED the everlasting FIRE to DESTROY Satan and his angels to make His minister a BLAZING FLAME to be turned to ashes)
Psalm 104:33. I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
Psalm 104:34. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
Psalm 104:35. Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless You the LORD, O my soul. Praise you the LORD.
Isaiah 40:21.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
Isaiah 40:22. It is He that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; (It is Yahweh) that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:
Isaiah 40:23. That brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth as vanity. (So then, CLEARLY, the foundation of the earth is NOT the BEGINNING of the earth being created for the very first time having never existed before.
Rather, it is God FIXING the CORRUPTED earth and JUDGING the angels that He SET as watchers over the previous AGE of the earth)
Isaiah 40:24. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: (Or the fallen angel will not be given in MARRIAGE to continue to procreate) yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and He shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. (Speaking of their future destruction in the lake of fire)
Isaiah 40:25. To whom then will you liken Me, or shall I be equal? Says the Holy One. (Or more correctly translated, APPOINT the Holy One. And it should be understood as ALL of the SAINTS who are JOINT-HEIRS with Jesus to inherit the worlds to come)
Isaiah 40:26. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: He calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one fails. (But in contrast to the angels where one third corrupted themselves, God’s NEW CREATION created in righteousness, not one will fail)
Isaiah 40:27. Why do you say, O Jacob, and (Why speak), O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
Isaiah 40:28. Have you not known? Have you not heard that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? There is no searching of his understanding.
Isaiah 40:29. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.
Isaiab 40:30. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
Isaiah 40:31. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
To me, this is a prophecy of the rapture of the church.
Isaiah 44:24.
“Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, and He that formed you from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself; (Or more correctly translated, I am Yahweh that “asah” all things; it is I myself that OVERTHREW the heavens alone, It is I that POUNDED the earth by myself/
For you see, what does Yahweh FRUSTRATING the LIARS have anything to do with the original creation of the earth?
Exactly, FRUSTRATING the LIARS has NOTHING to do with Yahweh CREATING all things as they were ORIGINALLY created)
Isaiah 44:25. That frustrates the tokens of the liars, and makes diviners mad; that turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish;”
Satan has deceived the whole world with his doctrines of devils.
He has divided the church, but he will NOT PREVAIL against the TRUE faith of Jesus the CHRIST.
And I believe that Almighty God, the Father of LIGHTS is giving Christians more light and understanding in these last days to restore UNITY in the body of Jesus Christ.
Any Christian with eyes to see and ears to hear can clearly see that all of these passages of Scripture are directly referring to the FOUNDATION of the world, are teaching us about the WAR in heaven that began during a PREVIOUS AGE of the earth.
Job 26:7-14.
“He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing.
(Now, church TRADITION understands Job 26:7 as being the ORIGINAL CREATION of the earth.
But that is NOT what the CONTEXT of this verse teaches us!)
Job 26:8. He BINDS up the waters in His thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.
Job 26:9. He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it.
Job 26:10. He has compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. (Now, why would Almighty God CREATE day and night to come to an END?
That makes no logical sense at all. And that is because God is NOT talking about the ORIGINAL creation of the heavens and the earth.
Rather, God is talking about the WRATH that he poured out upon the fallen side of heaven and His setting things ARIGHT)
Job 26:11. The pillars of heaven TREMBLE and are ASTONISHED at His REPROOF. (Again, how does this CONTEXT fit with an ORIGINAL creation of the entire universe?
It does not fit because God is NOT talking about the ORIGINAL creation of the universe anywhere in the entire Bible)
Job 26:12. He DIVIDES the sea with his power, (Or more correctly understood, Yahweh separated the wicked corrupted fallen angels from the good angels who remained faithful to Him) and by His understanding He SMITES through the PROUD.
Job 26:13. By His Spirit He has garnished the heavens; (This means brightness or let there be LIGHT) His hand has formed the crooked serpent. (Or more correctly translated, His hand has WOUNDED the FUGITIVE fleeing serpent)
Job 26:14. Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of His power who can understand?
Or which of you has truly CONSIDERED His mighty POWER, as in, Yahweh mighty power to overthrow His ENEMY when God HUNG the earth upon NOTHING?
In other words, have any of you TRULY considered the CONTEXT of Job 26:7 to see that it actually means God SUSPENDED the earth, but WHY?
For what REASON did God “tâlâh” the earth, which also means SUSPEND, especially in the sense of GIBBETTING the earth?
According to Wikipedia, here is what “gibbetting” means.
“Gibbeting is the use of a gallows-type structure from which the dead or dying bodies of criminals were hanged on public display to deter other existing or potential criminals.”
In other words, God is suspending or deferring the lake of fire to make sure that no other of His creation will ever try such an INSOLENT thing as to wage WAR.
Job 38:4-15.
“Where were you when I laid the FOUNDATIONS of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. (Again, the CONTEXT does not FIT the church TRADITIONAL understanding of the foundation of the world as being the ORIGINAL creation of the entire universe.
Especially when you use some OTHER meanings of the Hebrew words to correct the misunderstanding by Christians)
Job 38:5. Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? Or who has stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:6. Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the cornerstone thereof;
Job 38:7. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38:8. Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
Job 38:9. When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,
Job 38:10. And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,
Job 38:11. And said, Hitherto shall you come, but no further: and here shall your proud waves be stayed?
Job 38:12. Have you commanded the morning since your days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;
Job 38:13. That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
Again, how does laying the cornerstone at the FOUNDATION of the earth FIT with the church TRADITION of foundation meaning the ORIGINAL creation of the earth?
It does NOT fit unless you believe that God deliberately created all of the evil that exists in the world just to show His mighty power to shake out the wickedness that He SUPPOSEDLY created.
Jesus calls that understanding a DIVIDED Kingdom that will NOT stand.
Jeremiah 10:10-12.
“But the LORD is the TRUE God, He is the living God, and an everlasting king: at His wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide His indignation.
Jeremiah 10:11. Thus shall you say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
Jeremiah 10:12. He has MADE the earth by His power, He has ESTABLISHED the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by his discretion.”
Again, the CONTEXT does NOT FIT the understanding of God MAKING the earth for the very first time having never existed before.
But BRUISING the earth by His POWER and then FIXING or setting ARIGHT the world by His wisdom and has OVERTHROWN the heavens by His discretion fits perfectly with our JUDGING the world and our JUDGING the angels, according to 1 Corinthians 6:2,3.
Jeremiah 51:15.
“He has made the earth by His POWER, He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heaven by His understanding.”
You can read the context on your own. But again, the CONTEXT does NOT FIT the understanding of God MAKING the earth for the very first time having never existed before.
However, God BRUISING the earth by His POWER and then FIXING or setting ARIGHT the world by His wisdom and has OVERTHROWN the heavens by His discretion fits perfectly with our JUDGING the world and our JUDGING the angels, according to 1 Corinthians 6:2,3.
My point is that since ALL of these other verses in the Bible have a WAR being OVERTHROWN at the time when God MADE the heavens and the earth, then the “translation” of the Hebrew word “Asah” as God MADE the heavens and the earth does NOT fit the CONTEXT.
Thus, church TRADITION has the WRONG understanding of Genesis 1:1-31 as being the ORIGINAL creation of the earth.
Let us continue to closely examine some other verses where God MADE the earth in the very beginning does NOT FIT the CONTEXT of these passages of Scripture.
Jeremiah 32:17-19.
“Ah Lord GOD! behold, You have made (Or You BRUISED) the heaven and the earth by Your great POWER and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too TOO HARD for you:
Jeremiah 32:18. You show loving kindness unto thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name,
Jeremiah 32:19. Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for Your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:”
In other words, for Almighty God to have a PLAN of salvation before the ORIGINAL creation of the earth, does NOT FIT the CHARACTER of Almighty God being LIGHT and having no DARKNESS in Him at ALL.
However, God BRUISING the earth and OVERTHROWING the side of heaven that waged a WAR against the other side of heaven fits PERFECTLY with every single verse in the entire Bible.
Psalm 119:89-91.
“LAMED. For ever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.
Psalm 119:90. Your faithfulness is unto all generations: You have established the earth, and it abides. (Or You FIX the earth and SET it ARIGHT)
Psalm 119:91. They continue this day according to Your ordinances: (Or according to Your VERDICT) for all are Your servants.”
Proverbs 3:19.20.
“The LORD by wisdom has FOUNDED the earth; (Or God sat down together with His council of the Elohim to SETTLE the war in heaven) by understanding has he established the heavens. (Or He has FIXED the heavens and SET it ARIGHT. And now, we are to pray that God’s WILL in heaven be done on the earth)
Proverbs 3:20. By His knowledge the depths are BROKEN up, (And when you understand that the depths or the DEEP or the abyss in Genesis 1:2 is symbolic language for the armies of corrupted fallen angels being broken up, then you can see that the earth BECAME without form and void and God did NOT created the earth in that state of DARKNESS) and the clouds drop down the dew.”
I understand the SYMBOLIC meaning of “clouds” as being strength, power, protection, the presence and glory of Almighty God, and also the ARMIES of God, both the angels and the saints. But that is another study in and of itself.
Nehemiah 9:6.
“You, even You, are LORD alone; You have made heaven, (Or You BRUISED) the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and You preserve them all; (Or with other meanings of the same Hebrew words, You RESTORE to life whosever) and the host of heaven worships You.
For you see, Almighty God does NOT preserve all of the wicked.
And the Hebrew word that is translated as “preserve” also means RESTORE to life, as in, the resurrection of the dead in Jesus Christ or WHOSOEVER believes.
And the Hebrew word that is translated as “all” also means WHOSOEVER.
Psalm 146:6-10.
“Which made heaven, (Or which BRUISED heaven) and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keeps truth for ever:
Psalm 146:7. Which executes judgment for the oppressed: which gives food to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners:
Psalm 146:8. The LORD opens the eyes of the blind: the LORD raises them that are bowed down: the LORD loves the righteous:
Psalm 146:9. The LORD preserves the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
Psalm 146:10. The LORD shall reign for ever, even your God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise you the LORD.”
Psalm 89:8.
“O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto You? Or to Your faithfulness round about You?
Psalm 89:9. You rule the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, You still them.
Psalm 89:10. You have broken Rahab (Or you have broken the BOASTER) in pieces, as one that is slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your strong arm.
Psalm 89:11. The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours: as for the world and the fulness thereof, You have FOUNDED them. (Again, the Hebrew word translated as FOUNDED means to sit down together to SETTLE the matter of the wicked raging like the waves of the sea)
Psalm 89:12. The north and the south You have created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in Your name. (A prophecy of God using the north and the south as His mighty arm to punish the children of Israel for rejecting Jesus as their Messiah.
Then God will cut down the north and the south by His highly exalted Son of Man to be seated at His right hand.
And this will be fulfilled in the very near future at the coming of Jesus)
Psalm 89:13. You have a mighty arm: strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand.
Psalm 89:14. Justice and judgment are the habitation of Your throne: mercy and truth shall go before Your face.”
