Book 7 Chapter 1.
To Us There is But ONE God, even the Father!
Is the ONE TRUE God a TRINITY of three separate persons in ONE Godhead?
Is Jesus Almighty God as the second person of a Trinity Godhead?
Does the “Shema”, meaning our God is ONE, mean God is one in UNITY of three separate persons as Trinitarian Christians argue?
Or does the “Shema”, meaning our God is ONE, mean God is one God is ONE PERSON, who is one in the Father?
What does the Bible itself teach?
Book 7 Chapter 1.
Does “Our God is ONE” Mean God is a UNITY of a TRIUNE Godhead?
Let’s begin this Verse Study on Mark 12:29, which has the phrase “Our God is ONE”, by reading that verse in its context.
I will highlight the words that refer to Almighty God the Creator in orange.
And the words highlighted in yellow refer to Jesus.
The words in blue are the TRUTH that is under discussion.
And the words in green are errors or what is NOT taught in the Scriptures.

With that being said, let us begin this Verse Study on Mark 12:29 to learn its TRUE sound Biblical meaning
The Pharisees wrongly believed that in the resurrection there will be marriage in heaven. But Jesus said that is not what the Scriptures teach.
Mark 12:27-37.
“He is NOT the God of the dead, but the God of the living: you therefore do greatly err. (Jesus is correcting the Scribes and Pharisees in the error of “interpreting” the Scriptures)
Mark 12:28. And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
Mark 12:29. And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord OUR God is ONE Lord: (In Deuteronomy 6:4 it says, Hear O Israel Yahweh or Elohim is ONE Yahweh. And the Hebrew word “echad” means UNITED, ONE, ALONE, and ONLY.
But which meaning did Jesus INTEND? Keep reading the context and you will see)
Mark 12:30. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:31. And the second is like, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:32. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, you have said the TRUTH: for there is ONE God; and there is NONE OTHER but He: (Now, seeing that Jesus did NOT rebuke or correct this Scribe, then it is safe to say that Jesus INTENDED his words to mean that Yahweh ALONE is our God Yahweh.
Notice that all of the pronouns referring to the ONE Yahweh are SINGULAR.
It does NOT say, Master, you have said the TRUTH, for there is ONE God and NONE OTHER but THEM)
Mark 12:33. And to love Him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mark 12:34. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, You are not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question. (Clearly, Jesus does not correct this Scribe like he did the other Scribes saying that they have greatly erred.
But rather, Jesus agrees, that this Scribe understands CORRECTLY that Yahweh our God ALONE is Yahweh and there is NONE OTHER but Him)
Mark 12:35. And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?
Mark 12:36. For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit you on My right hand, TILL I make your enemies your footstool.
Mark 12:37. David therefore himself calls him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.”
And in Mark 12:35-37, Jesus is quoting Psalm 110:1 to teach us that he is the one PROPHESIED in Psalm 110:1-8.
Psalm 110:1-7.
“The LORD said unto my Lord, SIT you at my right hand, UNTIL I make your enemies your footstool. (In other words, this is a PROPHECY or Yahweh saying to His Messiah to come join Him to be SEATED at Yahweh’s right-hand UNTIL Yahweh makes the enemies His Lord’s footstool)
Psalm 110:2. The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion: rule you in the midst of your enemies.
Psalm 110:3. Your people shall be willing in the DAY of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth.
Psalm 110:4. The LORD has sworn, and will not repent, (Meaning that what Yahweh has spoken in His word of PROPHECY, He will NOT change) You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Psalm 110:5. The Lord at your right hand shall strike through kings in the DAY of his wrath.
Psalm 110:6. He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
Psalm 110:7. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore, shall He lift up the head.”
To me, Psalm 110:7 is saying that the Messiah will DRINK from the water of the Holy Spirit to walk in the WAY of righteousness.
And therefore, this is a prophecy by Yahweh saying that He will RAISE up the head or Captain of our salvation, according to Hebrews 2:9,10.
Now, the Trinitarian Christians argue that the Hebrew word “echad” must, without fail, mean UNITED as ONE in ONE BEING.
And that one BEING called God is the UNITY of three separate persons who are the one BEING.
And, obviously, they HAVE to argue for that definition of the Hebrew word “echad”, otherwise, Mark 12:29 would prove the doctrine of the Trinity to be a FALSE teaching.
Here is WHY Trinitarian Christians believe what they believe.
The following quote is taken from the Trinitarian website called Got Questions. And thus, the following in the Courier new font are THEIR words.
I will explain a small section at a time to show WHY their doctrine of the Trinity must be READ into the Scriptures.
Therefore, the doctrine of the Trinity is NOT taught in the Bible, since it must be read into the Bible.
Notice how they openly admit that the doctrine of the Trinity is a CONCEPT that in no way can be understood.
You just have to accept that it is true based on their opinion. The emphasis is mine.
“The most difficult thing about the Christian concept of the Trinity is that there is no way to perfectly and completely understand it.”
Notice how this Trinitarain writer openly admits that the doctrine of the Trinity is a CONCEPT that in NO WAY can completely be understood.
“The Trinity is a concept that is impossible for any human being to fully understand, let alone explain.”
Here we see that some Trinitarian Christians openly admit that the concept of a Trinity Godhead is IMPOSSIBLE to be fully understood, let alone be able to be explained to others to understand.
God is infinitely greater than we are; therefore, we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him.
This Trinitarian writer goes on to say that Christians should NOT expect to be able to fully understand God.
That is to say, do not expect to understand God as a TRIUNE God made up of three separate persons but yet be ONE God.
The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God.
This is misleading. For you see, it is the Trinitarian “INTERPRETATION” that is READ into the Scriptures that teaches that Jesus is Almighty God HIMSELF in the flesh.
But that is NOT what the Bible ITSELF teaches. It was after the cross and resurrection that the Son of MAN, Jesus, was made to become a God under and subject to his God and Father who ALONE is the Almighty God.
So then, clearly seeing that God is a Spirit, according to John 4:24.
And also clearly seeing that the Father DWELT in His Son, according to John 14:10.
And seeing that Jesus was CONCEIVED by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary.
Then it stands to reason that the Holy Spirit is one and the self-came BEING as the Father.
And thus, the Holy Spirit is THE Almighty God, because God is the Holy Spirit.
But Jesus is NOT the Almighty God, seeing that the Almighty God is the God of His Son, Jesus.
The Bible also teaches that there is only one God.
Again, this is very misleading. And this is where Trinitarian Christians GREATLY err.
For you see, by wrongly believing that there is ONLY ONE God, you deceive yourself to wrongly believe that since Jesus is called God, then Jesus MUST be Almighty God Himself in the flesh.
But that is NOT what the Bible itself teaches us. Please read the verse study called 1 Corinthians 8:6 The TRUE Biblical Meaning!
But for now, here are some FACTS that cannot be refuted! And these sound Biblical facts prove that Jesus is NOT the ALMIGHTY God, who is always clearly identified in the Bible as being the Father.
FACT #1.
There is only one Almighty God called the Highest, according to Luke 1:21.
FACT #2.
There is only one Eternal God who is the INVISIBLE or unseen, the only WISE God, according to 1 Timothy 1:17.
FACT #3.
There is only one Creator God who is the Father of all, according to Malachi 2:10.
FACT #4.
There is only one TRUE God, or more correctly translated, there is only one TRUTHFUL God, according to John 17:1-3.
FACT #5.
And the ONE God is always clearly identified as being the Father, according to 1 Corinthians 8:6.7, Ephesians 4:6, Malachi 2:10, John 8:41, and Romans 15:6.
FACT #6.
In TRUTH, there are MANY Gods who the God of Gods made to become Gods under and subject to their Creator, according to 1 Corinthians 8:4-7, Deuteronomy 10:17, Psalm 136:2, Daniel 11:6, 2 Corinthians 4:4, and Psalm 82:6-8 with John 10:34-36.
FACT #7.
And Jesus is one of those Gods, who Yahweh MADE a Lord, a King, and a God to REPLACE the god of this present world, according to Acts 2:36, Psalm 2:1-12, Psalm 89:27, and Psalm 75:6-10.
These FACTS will be proven to you from the Scriptures throughout the following chapters of this book.
But here in chapter 1, I want to focus on the ERRORS in the doctrine of the Trinity.
Though we can understand some facts about the relationship of the different Persons of the Trinity to one another, ultimately, it is incomprehensible to the human mind.
Again, the writer of this Trinitarian article openly admits that the doctrine of the Trinity is ultimately INCOMPREHENSIBLE!
But yet, the Bible itself teaches us in 2 Corinthians 2:10 that the deep things of God are REVEALED to us by God’s Spirit dwelling in us.
2 Corinthians 2:10.
“But God has REVEALED them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches ALL things, yea, the DEEP things of God.”
Therefore, it is an ERROR to say that ALL things of God cannot be understood completely.
There are more errors made by the doctrine of the Trinity.
However, this does not mean the Trinity is not true or that it is not based on the teachings of the Bible.
The Trinity is one God existing in three Persons.
Yes, the man-made doctrine of the Trinity states that there is only one God and that one God exists in three persons.
But that is NOT what the Bible ITSELF teaches. Nowhere does the Bible say that God exists in three persons.
That “INTERPRETATION” must be READ into the Scriptures.
And the ONLY reason for why the CONCEPT of a Trinity Godhead was invented is to TRY to reconcile the FACT that the Father is called the ONE God and His Son is also called “God”.
Please know and understand that we are reading a “translation” of the Bible. Jesus is called “theos” by his God and Father.
And that Greek word “theos” has been translated as God with a capital “G”, as opposed to a lowercase “g” to read a god, to be a god under and subject to his God and Father.
Simple common sense teaches us that a “theos” who has THE God over him cannot be THE Almighty God who is the God OF Jesus.
Understand that this is not in any way suggesting three Gods.
Keep in mind when studying this subject that the word “Trinity” is not found in Scripture. This is a term that is used to attempt to describe the triune God—three coexistent, co-eternal Persons who are God.
Again, the teaching of the doctrine of the Trinity is an ATTEMPT to try and prove that Jesus is the Almighty God Himself in the flesh who eternally existed as a separate person of the HIGHEST God.
But that is NOT what the Bible itself teaches us.
Of real importance is that the concept represented by the word “Trinity” does exist in Scripture.
The following is what God’s Word says about the Trinity:
The following arguments are why Trinitarian Christians sincerely believe that the doctrine of the Trinity is the ONLY way to reconcile the FACT that the Father is called a “theos” and Jesus is called a “theos” is for ALMIGHTY God to be made up of three separate persons.
In other words, they refuse to even CONSIDER the possibility that the Father is ONE “theos” and the Son of God is another “theos” who was SEATED at the right hand of God after the cross and resurrection.
In order to keep these Verse Studies and chapters in my new books short and focused on one verse at a time, the following Trinitarian arguments will be separated into different Verse Studies and chapters in Book 7 There is But ONE God!
And thus, I will only give their first argument, which I will cover in chapter 2, B-7 Ch2 What Does 1 Timothy 2:5 TRULY Mean?
1) There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5).
Without Yahweh setting some of His Angels on thrones to become gods under and subject to Him, then there would be no other gods.
But the Bible clearly teaches us that Yahweh is the God of gods, and that Satan is the god of this present age.
And clearly, Almighty God the Father is the God of Jesus, who He made a Lord after the cross and resurrection, according to Acts 2:36.
Be sure to continue reading Book 7 “There is But ONE God!”. In chapter 2, I will explain the TRUE sound Biblical meaning to the above verses of Scripture.
The plural Hebrew word “Elohim” and the plural pronoun “us” does not DEFINITELY imply that Yahweh is a “plural” God made up of three separate persons in the ONE being of Yahweh.
Again, to read chapter 2, please click on the link B-7 Ch2 What Does 1 Timothy 2:5 TRULY Mean?
Thanks for reading, and may God bless you richly as you continue to seek the TRUTH of the WHOLE word of Almighty God.
And to me, the truth concerning who Jesus TRULY is, according to the Bible ITSELF, is the Biblical Unitarian view of Jesus.
Once Christians, Jews, Muslims, and even atheists understand the REASON that Yahweh CREATED the Son of MAN, Jesus, was to have DOMINION over the work of Yahweh’s hands.
And after you understand that the REASON that Yahweh did that is to STILL His ENEMIES, Satan and the fallen angels.
Then you can understand that God made His human Son to become “a” Lord, “a” King, and “a” God, under and subject to his God and Father in order to JUDGE Satan and the fallen angels.
