Què és la memòria? Molta gent creu que és una mena de bagul al qual podem recórrer sempre que ho necessitem, amb més o menys èxit. Tenim molt present el fet de recordar. Però, i l'oblit?

El meu avi va patir una anomalia relacionada amb la memòria, durant un període d'hospitalització. En aquell temps, va ser com si fos una altra persona. Què va passar? Afortunadament es va recuperar, després d’un lent procés. Però, la memòria no era la mateixa. És possible que es deteriori?

Amb aquestes idees al cap, vaig tenir clar quin podia ser el tema de la meva recerca. I quina millor manera d’invertir el temps del treball que fer-ho amb algú que fos important per a mi?

M'he basat doncs en l'estudi d'un cas concret, el del meu avi. He dut a terme entrevistes, qüestionaris, testos i visites per tal de detectar un possible deteriorament de la memòria. I al mateix temps, el possible enfortiment d’un tipus de record, i el coneixement sobre la realitat de l'incident.

Many people think it's a kind of trunk that we can use whenever we need it, with more or less success. We are very aware of the fact of remembering. But why oblivion?

My grandfather suffered a memory-related anomaly during a period of hospitalization. At that time, it was as if he were another person. What happened? Fortunately he recovered, after a slow process. But his memory was not the same. Is it possible that it deteriorates?

With these ideas in mind, I knew for sure what the subject of my research work could be. And which could be a better way to invest the time of my research than doing it in someone who was important to me?

I have based on the study of a specific case, that of my grandfather. I have done interviews, questionnaires, tests and visits which were carried out to detect a possible deterioration of memory. At the same time, the possible strengthening of a type of memory and a deeper knowledge about the reality of the incident.
