El treball consisteix inicialment en la construcció d’un coet que s’enlairi uns cinquanta metres i que pugui carregar un ordinador de bord (una placa Raspberry Pi) perquè filmi i registri dades del vol. Per aconseguir aquest objectiu, el treball es divideix en dues parts: el disseny i la construcció del coet (estable i prou gran com per carregar la Raspberry Pi), com a objectiu prioritari, i la programació de la placa Raspberry Pi (juntament amb la bateria i la càmera) i la seva instal·lació al coet com a objectiu secundari. Es construeixen dos coets per assolir el primer objectiu i s’utilitzen tres globus per enlairar i provar l’ordinador i la càmera abans d’integrar-los al coet per al segon. El resultat final és un èxit; tot i que no es pot instal·lar l’ordinador al coet, s’aconsegueix construir un coet estable que funciona.
This project consists firstly in the construction of a rocket which is capable of flying 50 metres high while it is carrying an on-board computer (a Raspberry Pi board) to film and record data about the flight. In order to complete this objective, the project was divided in two parts: the design and construction of the rocket (stable and capable of carrying the Raspberry Pi), as the main objective, and programming the Raspberry Pi (with its camera and battery) and its installation in the rocket as a secondary objective. Two rockets were built to accomplish the main objective, and three balloons were used to raise and try if the computer and camera were working well, before installing them into the rocket to accomplish the secondary objective. The final result was a success; although the computer wasn’t installed in the rocket, the main objective of building a stable rocket was accomplished.
