ESC Vedruna Palamós - 2012

El tema principal d'aquest treball de recerca és el fast food i el seu impacte en diferents àmbits de la societat i de la salut. La senzillesa dels establiments que l’ofereixen, així com els preus moderats i la rapidesa del servei l’han fet un producte d’abast mundial i de gran popularitat que ha despertat però, polèmiques sobre la seva qualitat. Com que parlar del menjar ràpid és entrar en el camp de la salut i de la nutrició humanes, he explicat com afecta al nostre organisme ,els múltiples desavantatges que provoca, tant en l’àmbit físic com psicològic, tot proposant alternatives més saludables. També m’he centrat en el terreny social explicant la seva història, la influència sobre la població i la publicitat. A nivell pràctic he realitzat, en primer lloc, una comparativa dels nutrients que aporten una dieta a base de fast food i la meva dieta habitual; en segon lloc, un experiment amb aquests productes, i en darrer lloc, un seguiment del documental Super Size me. Finalment, n'he tret les meves pròpies conclusions.

This project’s main topic is fast food and its impact in different areas of society and health. Fast food has become a global product due to the simplicity of the establishments which provide it, low prices and the speed of service, despite the fact that it has grown a huge controversy about its quality. As talking about fast food is dealing with the fields of health and human nutrition, I have explained how it affects our body, its multiple disadvantages (both physical and psychological) and I have also proposed healthier alternatives. I have focused on more social issues too, such as its history, publicity and the influence it has on our population. In practice, first of all I have done a comparison between the nutrients provided in a fast food diet and my usual diet; then I have done an experiment with these products; lastly, I have analyzed the documentary Super Size Me. To finish my project I have tried to reach my own conclusions.
