Aquest estudi, basat en un treball de camp realitzat entre els anys 2013 i 2016 que consta de 119 avistaments, té l'objectiu de conèixer el cens, l'àrea de distribució, l'origen, l'alimentació, l'etologia i la mida òptima de la població de Capra pyrenaica del Montgrí. S'han acomplert tots els objectius,encara que alguns només parcialment. S'ha arribat a la conclusió que el cens actual és d'uns 70 exemplars, l'àrea de distribució comprèn les muntanyes que envolten la vall de Sta. Caterina, la reintroducció (accidental) va tenir lloc del 2000 al 2007, la garriga i l'estrat herbaci representen la major part de l'alimentació (el 27,27% i el 52,14% respectivament), l'etologia és la pròpia de l'espècie i la mida poblacional òptima és d'uns 111-139 exemplars. Posteriorment a la resolució d'aquests aspectes, s'ha pogut valorar la viabilitat d'aquesta població i plantejar propostes útils per a la seva futura gestió.
Com a suport al treball, he elaborat gràfics, mapes i dibuixos amb la intenció d'il·lustrar-ne les explicacions.
This study, based on a fieldwork done between 2013 and 2016 that has 119 sightings notes, has the purpose of knowing the census, the distribution range, the origin, the feeding, the behaviour and the optimal size of the population of Capra pyrenaica in the Montgrí Massif. All the initial goals of the study have been achieved, although some of them only partially. The conclusions are that the current census is about 70 individuals, the distribution range includes mainly the mountains around Santa Caterina’s valley, the reintroduction (accidental) took place from 2000 to 2007,kermes oak and the herbaceous layer represent the most of the diet (the 27,27% and 52,14%respectively), the behaviour is the typical of the species and the optimal size is about 111-139 individuals.
After the resolutions of these issues, the viability of the population has been assessed and useful suggestions for the future management have been proposed. Supporting the study, graphics, maps and draws have been elaborated in order to ilustrate the explanations.
