INS Palamós - 2012

La població de Palamós està constituïda per persones d’orígens diversos. Les diferents migracions al llarg del temps han configurat la població actual. Els fets històrics ens diuen que al llarg del segle XX algunes de les migracions més importants van ser les del món de la pesca. Si preguntes a qualsevol palamosí que t’anomeni algun poble d’origen dels pescadors, segurament et diran els caleros. Però hi ha pescadors d’altres orígens a part de la Cala? Aquesta es una de les preguntes que em vaig plantejar abans de fer el treball. En els primers moments d’aquest treball vaig descobrir que a prop meu hi havia pescadors i persones vinculades al món pesquer que eren nascuts en un poble del Llevant anomenat el Campello.

Al llarg d’aquest treball de recerca el lector es submergirà dins el món pesquer i sobretot dins la vida d’un campellero, coneixerà els seus orígens, vida, feina, la causa de la marxa del seu poble natal, com van venir fins a Palamós etc.

Palamós population consists of people from different origins. The various migrations over time have set the current population. Historical facts show that during the 20th century most part of the migrations movements had a direct relation with the world of fishing. If any Palamós citizen is asked to name a fishermen’s origin village they surely name “La Cala”. But are there fishermen from other places apart from “La Cala”? This is one of the questions I posed before doing the piece of work. At the beginning of the research on this particular object I discovered that there were fishermen whom had a close relationship with me and they were born in a village called el Campello.

Through out this assignment the reader will be inside of the fishing world, and will especially discover the origins, lives, jobs of all those people who were born in Campello and came to live in Palamós.
