El meu treball de recerca consisteix en un estudi d’impacte econòmic, sobre la vila de Palamós i el seu entorn, en l’arribada de creuers turístics al port palamosí.
He basat la meva hipòtesi en una noticia publicada per Ports de la Generalitat en la qual es feia una previsió, per la temporada de creuers 2017, d’aproximadament uns 38.000 passatgers en un total de 40 escales diferents. L’impacte total es situaria al voltant dels 3,1 milions d’euros.
La metodologia utilitzada, a part de la documentació obtinguda a través de diverses fonts, ha consistit en la realització d’enquestes a diferents tipologies de creuerista depenent de la categoria de creuer a la que pertanyien. Vaig classificar els creuers segons si eren de baix cost, estàndard o de luxe. En total foren 161 enquestes, de les quals 51 van ser a passatgers de creuers de luxe, 52 de la categoria estàndard i 59 de baix cost.
El perfil tipus de creuerista el definiria com a una parella anglesa d’entre 50 i 65 anys, que té una despesa mitjana és de 38€ per persona.
Un seguit de càlculs que es detallen en el treball (càlcul de l’impacte directe i indirecte)em van portar a obtenir una xifra d’impacte global de 3,2 milions d’euros.
My research work consists on an economic study about the economic impact from the arrival of the cruise ships in my town, Palamós, and its surroundings.
I based my hypothesis in a new published by Ports de la Generalitat in which they made an estimate for the 2017 cruise ship season, of approximately 38.000 passengers in a total of 40 different layovers. The total impact would be around 3.1 million euros.
The methodology which I have used consisted in carrying out surveys to different types of cruise turists depending on the category of cruise they belonged to. I classified the cruises according to whether they were low cost, standard or luxury. In total I obtained 161 surveys, of which 51 were answered by passengers of luxury cruises, 52 of the standard category and 59 of low cost.
The type of cruiser profile I have defined would be an English couple between 50 and 65 years old, whose average expense in the village is 38€ per person.
A series of calculations that are detailed in my work (the calculation of the direct and indirect impact) led me to obtain a total impact of 3.2 million euros.
