El meu treball de recerca va sorgir arran de la meva preocupació per l’estat de salut de les actuals societats democràtiques. Vaig veure que podria relacionar aquesta preocupació amb una sèrie, Black Mirror. Em vaig plantejar la possibilitat de realitzar una anàlisi filosòfica de la societat actual, dels canvis que afronta i els riscos que plantegen les noves tecnologies digitals a través de Black Mirror. Vaig investigar sobre les utopies i les distopies al llarg de la història, per poder situar aquesta sèrie. Tot seguit, vaig fer una lectura filosòfica de la sèrie a partir de cinc conceptes de filòsofs contemporanis. A les conclusions he intentat recollir els perills, reptes i amenaces que plantegen les noves tecnologies per a la societat actual tal com apareixen en aquesta sèrie de culte.
My research paper lies in my concerns about the health of today's democratic societies. I realised that I could relate this matter to a TV series, Black Mirror. Therefore, I considered the possibility of analysing philosophical concepts of today's society, as well as the changes it faces and the risks introduced by new digital technologies through Black Mirror. I investigated the concept of utopia and dystopia throughout history, so that I could be able to locate this series in its cinematographic and literary culture. Afterwards, I undertook a philosophical reading of the series by relating them to five concepts of contemporary philosophers. In the conclusions, I have tried to collect the hazzards, challenges and threats introduced by new technologies in our society as they appear in this cult series.
