Aquest treball s’ha realitzat amb la intenció de veure si a les grans ciutats com Barcelona es pot implantar un model de ciutat com Copenhaguen, on s’inclou la bicicleta com a mitjà de transport normalitzat.
El meu estudi s’ha basat a cercar informació sobre els efectes beneficiosos de l’ús de la bicicleta a les ciutats, els desavantatges i sobre quin grau d’integració té la bicicleta a Barcelona. A banda, també s’ha fet una recerca de les ciutats dels països del centre d’Europa.
Tot comparant les ciutats on la bicicleta s’usa com a mitjà de transport principal, i les grans ciutats on predomina el vehicle privat, s’ha arribat a aquestes conclusions: si es vol que Barcelona evolucioni cap a una ciutat moderna, on la bicicleta sigui el principal mitjà de transport, els ciutadans han d’acceptar el mitjà i s’ha de millorar les infraestructures.
Tot i la feina que queda per fer, la ciutat podria arribar a assolir el model de les ciutats referents.
This project has been done with the aim to study the possibility of setting up a pattern of city as Copenhagen, where bicycle is included as a normalised means of transport, in big cities as Barcelona.
My project is based on the research information about the benefits of the using the bicycle in the cities, its disadvantages and the index of integration, the bicycle has in Barcelona. I also have done a research of this integration in countries of Central Europe.
Comparing cities where the bicycle is used as the main mean of transport with the big cities where is the private vehicle the main transport, we have reached the following conclusions: if we want Barcelona develops to a modern city, where the bicycle was the main mean of transport, the citizens will have to accept the bicycle as the main one and improve the infrastructures.
Even though there is too much work to do, the city could get the pattern of the referent cities.
