El meu estudi és de caràcter sociològic: i, per tant, es centra en un col•lectiu molt ampli a les societats occidentals, els adolescents.
El tema principal del meu treball és la música i els adolescents, però no pas en un sentit ampli, ja que se cenyeix estrictament a la música pop destinada a ser comercialitzada i explotada internacionalment. La música pop és molt present en els nostres dies, i s’ha convertit en un element cultural fonamental destinat a l’oci.
La tesi del treball és la següent: la música popular, escoltada pels joves, considerada com un entreteniment, transmet uns elements ideològics concrets. Elements que condicionen d’alguna manera el comportament dels joves, ja que són interioritzats. Aquests elements reforcen indirectament, justifiquen i legitimen l’statu quo vigent, en lloc de fer-ne una crítica.
L’estudi acull un terme marxista (Ideologia) per fer una anàlisi objectiu del contingut de les lletres i els videoclips i mira de mostrar com les idees que aporten aquests són interioritzades pel col•lectiu adolescent.
I've made this survey from a sociologic point of view and focused in a great group of the western societies, teenagers.
The main topic of the survey is music and teenagers, but I have not considered all kind of music, just only the marketing and exploitation of pop music. Pop music is all around us and it has become an important cultural element dedicated to leisure.
The thesis is as follows: Popular music which is listened by teenagers and considered as entertainment, could transmit certain ideological topics. These elements could conditionate, somehow, teenagers behaviour, since they can internalize them. Beside they reinforce and justify the status quo indirectly, instead of criticizing it.
The survey uses a Marxism word (Ideology) in order to analyse objectively the content of the lyrics and video-clips and it tries to show how these ideas given in these lyrics and clips are internalized by teenagers.
