European Honors Program (EHP) Committee

Founded in 1960, the European Honors Program EHP offers qualified RISD students a six-month long academic program that allows direct experience of the great works of art of Rome and Italy, via a balance of formal instruction and personal exploration. The European Honors Program Committee selects the Chief Critic, student participants, and short term scholars and critics. The Committee makes policy recommendations and advocates for the EHP. There are four elected members and two appointed “At Large” members. All terms are for two years, and are overlapping so that two elected members and one appointed member are continued from the previous year.
