Full-time faculty apply for sabbatical 18 months in advance of their proposed sabbatical. The Appendix E form is submitted with a project proposal on deadlines established and published by the Committee on Faculty Appointments each Summer.

Full-time faculty are eligible for Pre-critical Review Leave after completing three years of service at RISD. The Appendix E form is submitted by December 15 of the year prior to the academic year the leave is to be taken.
