Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for all centralized information technology functions and support such as the Service Desk, desktop/laptop, printing, network infrastructure, remote technology and telephones. In addition, ITS provides secondary technical support to academic departments and divisions.

Canvas | canvas.risd.edu
Canvas is RISD’s Learning Management System. All faculty and students are automatically enrolled in their course(s) on Canvas. Visit the site to set up your courses for the academic year. Visit our Canvas page for additional information and training resources.
Workday
Faculty utilize Workday to access class rosters, grading, advising, submit federally required textbook information (per the Textbook Provision of the Higher Education Act), and estimate material costs for students.
All RISD community members enter and maintain emergency contact information on Workday. The College uses the information to distribute time-sensitive information, e.g. weather closures, quickly to faculty, staff, and students by means of broadcast e-mail, voice and text messaging.
