Substitute Employee Pay

Substitute teacher pay will be at the following rate of payment:

Certified Substitute Teacher (holding a current SD certificate): $100 per day

Non-certified Substitute: $ 85 per day (June, 2015)

Substitute classified pay for all classified positions will be paid based upon the beginning wage of the appropriate salary schedule as approved by the FASD Board of Education.

Long-term substitutes may be paid up to 1/175^th of the base salary of the district on the BA schedule if the position is deemed a high need or difficult to fill substitute position. Long-term is defined as any position substitution that lasts for more than 10 consecutive school days. (June, 2015)
