The special meeting of the Faulkton Area Schools 24-4 Board of Education was called to order by Chairman Heather Bode at 5:00 p.m. in the office of the superintendent.
Roll call of members present were Kelly Aesoph, Heather Bode, Grady Heitmann and Todd Brand. Absent: Gary Bowar. Also present was Supt. Joel Price, Business Official Lisa Raethz, Peggy Melius, Jerry Weyand, Trevor Cramer and Jody Moritz.
TSP Site Survey & New Building Discussion. Trevor Cramer, Peggy Melius and Jerry Weyand were present to listen to the discussion on the site survey and new building. Melius and Weyand participated in the discussion and asked questions. The financial options were discussed again as well as the site options. The board decided they would need a more detailed description of plans and costs of building a brand new facility before a final decision could be made. Mr. Price will be in contact with TSP to get this information. More will be discussed at the regular September board meeting.
2015.2016.42. Pre-K Aide. Motion by Aesoph, second by Heitmann, to offer a 2015-2016 work agreement to Jill Wittmeier as a Pre-K Aide in the amount of $9.00/hour. Unanimous.
2015.2016.43. Web Page Designer. Motion by Brand, seconded by Aesoph, to table discussion on the web page design position until the September meeting. Unanimous.
2015.2016.44. Contract Amendment/Brice Cunningham. Motion by Aesoph, second by Heitmann, to amend Brice Cunningham’s 2015-2016 contract to add Golf Coach. (Total contract: $44,372.74 – BA+15 Step 14 $37,450.00; JH Football Coach $1,591.86, Head Boys Basketball Coach $3,739.02, Golf Coach $1,591.86) as per the Master contract.
2015-16.45. Adjournment. Motion by Brand, second by Aesoph, to adjourn at 6:16 p.m. All in favor, motion carried.

The special meeting of the Faulkton Area Schools 24-4 Board of Education was called to order by Chairman Heather Bode at 11:07 a.m. in the office of the superintendent.
Roll call of members present were Kelly Aesoph, Heather Bode, and Todd Brand. Absent: Gary Bowar and Grady Heitmann. Also present was Supt. Joel Price, Secondary Principal/AD Craig Cassens, Business Official Lisa Raethz, Alicia Hammond, Vanessa Bowman, Jeremy Demery, and on the phone were TSP staff: Rob Collins and Ron Halgerson, and Wenck Construction staff: Andy Hoffmann, Shane Butler, and Todd Christopherson.
Site Survey Update. Rob Collins (TSP Architects) directed the conference call and informed the board and committee members on updates to the study that had accumulated since the last conference call on July 28th. Mr. Price told Collins that the district would like 10 copies of the site survey when prepared and TSP will also send a pdf file so the report can be posted on the school website. The TSP/Wenck Construction staff then discussed 4 different design options for a new facility. Much discuss was had and a new option was talked about.
Next Meeting. A conference call will take place on August 5, 2015 at 9 a.m. The board will not have a quorum present.
2015-16.33. Adjournment. Motion by Aesoph, second by Brand, to adjourn at 12:44 p.m. All in favor, motion carried.
