Curriculum Alterations:

An effective instructional program requires on-going alterations of the curriculum. It is the policy of the Faulkton Board of Education that no course or program be eliminated or added to the curriculum, nor shall any marked alteration or reduction be made without approval by the Board.

Goals to Improve Communication Skills:

Oral expression must be encouraged in every classroom, whether by individual expression, role-playing, small group problem-solving, or class discussion.

Written expression must be encouraged in every classroom, by completing short-answer questions, essay questions, essays, or reports.

Selection of Textbooks:

Elementary: Committees of teachers will be appointed for the purpose of examining and recommending textbooks and supplementary materials in one or more areas of learning. Examination and recommendation of textbooks shall be made by the elementary teachers and elementary principal and recommendations forwarded to the superintendent.

Secondary: Examination and recommendation of textbooks and supplementary materials shall be made by the secondary principal and the teachers involved in the subject areas being considered. The principal shall forward the recommendations to the superintendent.
