Nickolas D. Causey competed in Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track. He was a XC District champion, Regional runner up, and earned two All State finishes with a fourth place finish in 2013. In track, Nick was an individual Regional champion 5 times, anchored the 4x800m relay to an indoor Group 6A state title, and won the Group AAA 1600m outdoor state championship in 2013. Additionally, he was the anchor for the 4x800m relay team that won at the Millrose Games in 2014, as well as for the 3rd place finish at Indoor Nationals the same year. Nick earned numerous All-State honors and MVP awards, and he is a three time 1st Team All Met selection. At the time of his graduation from Osbourn Park, Nick held the school record for the 1000m, and was in two school record relays, the indoor 4x400m and the indoor and outdoor 4x800m.
His performances in the 800m and 1600m are All Time OPTF #2. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and competed in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track all four years, earning varsity for 11 of his 12 seasons. He was a Patriot League conference champion, earned multiple All Conference honors, was a member of the school record distance medley relay, and still holds a top ten time in 800m. He graduated with a B.S. in American History in 2018 and earned his M.S. in Organization Leadership in 2022.
Nick currently serves in the U.S. Army as a Combat Advisor and lives in Olympia, WA with his wife, Mallory.
