Aaron played basketball and did track and field in middle school and planned on continuing in high school. While at Osbourn Park, Aaron played basketball for 3 years and was on the track team for 3 1/2 years and played football for 3 years. He also participated in NJROTC for 4 years. Aaron excelled in Shot Put the most and made it to regionals and states several times. He made the All-Met team twice times and was State champion. He set the school record in shot put and the indoor state record his junior year with 62'9". He qualified and went to Nationals 3 times (twice in Boston, MA once in Raleigh, NC) and placed 3rd the last time and made All-American. Aaron qualified for junior nationals and went to compete in Evansville, IN. His success in track helped him gain attention in football as well. He received letters and some offers from Clemson, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, UNC, UCONN, Lehigh, Marshall, Delaware, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Syracuse, Penn, Penn State, Florida, Elon, Florida State, and Miami.
Aaron received offers from 2 military schools: The Naval Academy (Football), and VMI (Track and Field), but elected to attend Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
Aaron had a good career at Marshall and graduated on time with a BA in Exercise Science and became a father when his daughter was born 2 days after graduation.
After college Aaron ended up working at three different places, a juvenile detention center where he met his lovely wife of 21 years, at Nautilus Fitness Center, and at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He has been at his current job for 21 years. He credits his hard work and dedication being ignited on the field and at home with his parents Timothy A. Trammell and his late mother Louise C. Trammell. He gives credit to his family members that supported him and his coaches and teachers. Specifically he credits: Coach Dan Jones, Coach Thomas Cerul, Coach Crow, Coach Mike Feldman, Coach Doug Poppe, and Coach Dan Evans Sr.
