Kelly Beauchamp (Payne) is a 1998 graduate of Osbourn Park High School. During her high school interscholastic career, Kelly earned twelve (12) Varsity letters, four each in Girls Tennis, Girls Basketball, and Girls Soccer. She earned multiple postseason honors in Girls Tennis and Girls Soccer to include All-District and All-Region. Kelly was also honored as Osbourn Park’s Most Athletic female in 1998. After graduating Osbourn Park in June 1998, she enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and made the Women’s Soccer team as a walk-on, fulfilling a personal goal to play Division I Women’s Soccer. Kelly played at UNCG for two (2) years and graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science to teach Health and Physical Education and explore her coaching opportunities.
Kelly began her teaching career in 2002 at Lowes Island Elementary School in Loudoun County. While there, Kelly served as the JV Girls Soccer Assistant Coach at nearby Park View (Sterling) High School. In 2003, she was named the Head Girls Soccer Coach at the brand-new Dominion High School (Sterling), and later transferred there as a Health & Physical Education Teacher in 2005. Kelly built the Dominion Girls Soccer program into an annual Dulles District contender and had many female student-athletes recognized for their achievements up to and including her final year in 2011. At that time, an opportunity much closer to home became available, and Kelly made the difficult decision to leave Dominion and come home to Prince William County Schools (PWCS) and open Patriot High School (Nokesville). Over the last decade, Kelly has built, yet again, another recognized, outstanding Girls Soccer program in PWCS and Northern Virginia. An annual postseason championship contender, Kelly has amassed five (5) Cedar Run District championships; two (2) Region championships; two (2) Final Four berths; and one (1) state championship final appearance. During the amazing 2021 postseason run, the Patriot Girls Soccer program was ranked as #2 in the Nation. Throughout her career, Kelly has been named Coach of the Year in the District six (6) times; Region three (3) times; and Washington Post All-Met Coach of the Year in 2018.
Kelly resides in Bristow (VA) with her family. Michael (husband) is currently the Director of Student Activities at Gar-Field Senior High School (PWCS); Kelsey (14) is a 9th grader at Patriot High School and participates in Cheer, Swim, Gymnastics, and Choir; and Kylie (11) is a 5th grader at T. Clay Wood Elementary School participating in Chorus, Soccer, Gymnastics, Swim.
Ironically, Osbourn Park is the “unofficial” origination of the “House of Payne.” Michael proposed to Kelly in June 2005 at midfield of Al Crow Stadium and what is now known as Larry Nemerow Field… her absolute favorite field to play on.
Kelly is forever grateful to all her teammates, coaches, and teachers from Osbourn Park High School. Many of the traits and characteristics she possesses in her professional career can be attributed to her high school experience at OP. She made lasting memories, lifelong friends, and built valued relationships that she cherishes…once a Jacket, always a Jacket (except during Patriot-OP Girls Soccer matches).
