Helen grew up in Manassas and attended OPHS from 2004 until 2008. She started playing volleyball at 11 years old at Parkside Middle School and with the Clash Volleyball Club.
While at OP Helen built quite a portfolio.
Set three VHSL state volleyball records for most sets in a career (6,044), most assists in a career (2,151), and most sets in a season (2,045)

During her collegiate volleyball career, Helen was a four year starting setter and team captain, two time All-Tournament Team Player, two time Dean’s List Scholar Athlete, and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President
Helen started her collegiate volleyball career at the University of Louisiana Monroe (NCAA Division I), then transferred to Concord University (NCAA Division II) in 2009. She graduated from Concord University in 2012 with a B.S. in Sports Management. She continued her education at the University of North Georgia where she was a graduate assistant for the Athletic Department while working on her Masters degree. She graduated in 2015 with her M.S. in Physical Education and now she is a teacher and volleyball coach in Jacksonville, FL.
