Jake Stronko was a member of the OPHS Varsity Men’s Swim Team from 2005-2009, and served as one of the Team Captains in the 2008-2009 season.
Jake specialized in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly, and he was a finalist for both events during the 2009 Virginia AAA State Championship.
At that meet, Jake was the State Runner-up in the 200 Freestyle, and his performance in that event earned him All-American honors.
After graduating from OPHS in 2009 summa cum laude, Jake continued his education at the College of William & Mary, majoring in Government with a focus on Russian Studies. While at William & Mary, Jake was a contributing member of the Varsity Men’s Swim Team (Division-I).
Since graduating from William & Mary in 2014, Jake moved to Washington, DC with his partner and two cats, and is a proud civil servant in the Department of Defense.
