Greg Skelley-Stoffa was a four-year member of the varsity swim team from 2009-2012. He led the team to District and Regional titles each year and was instrumental in helping the team achieve top finishes at States.
Among his accomplishments:
· VHSL 2011 State Champion in 400 Freestyle
· 3-time OP School Record Holder (500 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medley, and 400 Freestyle)
· 3-time MVP
· Awarded Manassas New and Messenger Swimmer of the Year (2011)
· 2-time Washington Post Second-Team All-Met honors (2011, 2012)
· VHSL 2012 3rd in 500 Freestyle
· 5-time Regional Champion across individual and relay event
· 4-year VHSL states qualifier
· USA Swimming Scholastic All-American
Life After OP
After graduating from Osbourn Park in 2012, Greg continued his swimming career at the University of Virginia.
His collegiate accomplishments include:
· Member of 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) swimming championship team
· Bronze medalist in the 1650 Freestyle and 4th in the 500 Freestyle at 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships
· Won the 500 Freestyle at the Cavalier Invite (2013, 2014)
· 3-time ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient
Greg graduated in 2016 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.A. in Physics. After graduation he began his career at Lockheed Martin as part of a leadership development program that exposed him to different business areas and gave him the opportunity to live in various cities across the east coast.
As part of his leadership program, he continued his education at Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, where he graduated in 2022 with an MBA and an M.S. in Business Analytics. Greg currently works at Lockheed Martin as a Project Engineer.
Greg shares a love of the sport of swimming with his wife, Emma, who he met while they were teammates on the Osbourn Park swim team. They both swim on a local master’s team, where Greg is a former national record holder in the 2-Mile Cable Swim Relay. The Skelley-Stoffas live in Herndon, Virginia with their two dogs, Chili and Cleo.
