Rebecca Nemerow Tillett was born in Prince William County and graduated from Osbourn Park High School in 1995. She was a member of both the Varsity basketball team (sophomore through senior year) and the Varsity soccer team (all four years). She served as team captain for both sports. As a senior, she was elected the Female Athlete of the year, which is voted on by the entire Osbourn Park High School coaching staff.
Upon graduation in 1995, she attended the College of William and Mary graduating in 1999 with degrees in both Elementary Education and Kinesiology. Upon graduation, she returned to Prince William County as both a teacher and a basketball coach - coaching at both Osbourn Park and Forest Park. Rebecca’s overall record in Prince William County was 166-72. Rebecca led Forest Park to three state tournament appearances, including the 2008 Group AAA State final.
In 2013, Rebecca went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania as an assistant coach. She was an assistant coach at the United States Naval Academy from 2014 until 2018. During her time in Annapolis, she was named Recruiting Coordinator and ultimately Associate Head Coach.
In 2018, Rebecca was hired as the head coach for the Longwood University’s Women’s basketball team. In her four years there, she achieved a record of 36-19 capped off by a 22-12 mark for the 2021-2022 season. Longwood captured the Big South Conference title and went on to an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.
In 2022, Rebecca was hired as the new coach at St Louis University in St Louis, Missouri.
