Description: It is a herb, stem is weak and hairy. Leaves are simple, opposite. Inflorescence is head with a long peduncle, presence of ray and disc floret. Ray floret is limited in number, disc floret is more, calyx of disc florets is modified to pappus for easy dispersal of seeds. fruit is achene.

Uses: It is used to treat bronchial diseases, dysentery, liver diseases and diarrhea. It has wound healing, antifungal, insect repellent and anticoagulant properties.
