Description: It is a large, ever green tree. Leaves are spinous at the base, deciduous, persistent foliage. Flowers in glomerulus, spherical, small. Inflorescence in short axillary panicles, whitish green, hairy corolla. Stamen is thin, connate in a tube surrounded by calyx. Fruit is pod in spiral shape.
Phenology: March-June.
Uses: To treat chronic diarrohea, dysentery, constipation.
