Description: Leaves: Linear-ensiform, green on both sides, and up to 3-4 meters long and 9 centimeters wide. The margins and midrib are armed with sharp teeth. Trunk: Erect and 2-4 meters tall, branched above. Prop-roots: Basal, short, and few. Flowers: Terminal inflorescence, with male flowers in large spicate racemes and female flowers solitary or in groups of 2-3. Fruit: Syncarp of angled drupes. Habitat: River and stream banks, paddy field bunds.
