Description: It is a herb or shbshrub, leaves are obovate to elliptic with attenuate base, inflorescence are paniculate, some times nodding with red, pink to yellowish flowers on slender pedicels Flowers are born in lax, many flowered branched inflorescence. Sepals falling early, petals  are 3 to6. Fruit is a capsule. 

Uses: Used in home medicine as antiuretic, healing and vulval and anti-infective. It is also consumed in salads. Shoots and leaves added to stews and soups. It is used in folk medicine to treat ulcers and used typically against a broad spectrum of wounds and skin infections.
