Description: It is a perennial plant, grown for its large showy leaves, has no stem, long stalks attached to the leaves near the centre. Leaves are directly attached to the tuber, leaves are arrow shaped, variously spotted or streaked with white, pink, red or grey. Inflorescence is greenish white spadix covered by large spathe. Fruit is berry with several ovoid seeds.

Uses: Used as an ornamental, grown both in indoor and outdoor. As these plants are indoor plants it purifies the air. It is used by some traditional medicine to treat diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal disorders
